Alan B

Rev. Alan Bailey

Alan's Bio

Reverend Alan comes to us with over twenty-five years of pastoral experience having served Disciple of Christ churches in Tipton, Montgomery City, Auxvasse and California Missouri.  He was a commissioned bi-vocational minster during the bulk of these ministries and was employed in full time leadership positions with various departments of Missouri State Government and worked with an association representing Missouri cities, towns and villages.  Alan had never planned to go into pastoral ministry, but it seems that God had other goals for his life.  The Call came to him while he was in his mid-forties and after much resistance, he realized that God had truly claimed his life for this vocation.  Alan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Missouri and a Master of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves, Missouri.  He was officially ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in August 2022 and began his interim transitional ministry with Raymore Christian Church in November of 2022. Alan and his wife Linda have been married for 49 years and have one son who lives in the State of California.  Alan is an avid follower of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals, loves to fish and go to the gym, is passionate about reading and relishes the time he gets to spend with his wife and their beagle fur baby, Lucy.  He is also grateful for discovering pickleball during his time in Raymore.  “I am blessed to be in service with the folks at Raymore Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and give thanks to God for this opportunity.  The commitment exhibited by this community of faith to the Gospel of our Lord, Jesus and the ministries undertaken here that truly impact on lives in the Raymore community and beyond is exciting and amazing.  I would encourage anyone looking for a church home to come and check out Raymore Christian Church.  There is an opportunity here to do the work of the Gospel that we have been called to do.”

Sarah

Sarah Younger - Director, Bright Cherubs Preschool

Sarah's Bio

Sarah is in her eleventh year at Bright Cherubs Preschool. She began her work at Bright Cherubs Preschool as an Early Learner teacher in 2012 and held that position for six years. After six years of being in the classroom, she transitioned to the Director of Bright Cherubs. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations from Drury University. The blend between education and business in the role of Preschool Director naturally fit together in 2018. It has been both challenging and rewarding ever since! Her favorite thing about Bright Cherubs is the relationships with families and lasting friendships. Watching those develop in both parents and staff over the years has been just one of the many highlights. Sarah has enjoyed working with the teachers at Bright Cherubs Preschool and the board of Raymore Christian Church to create a strong vision for Bright Cherubs that includes ensuring we are a unique and close knit group of individuals that provides a positive, caring and Christ centered early childhood education environment for both the children and the teachers to enjoy each day.

Sarah resides in Raymore with her husband and two teenage boys, who are both Bright Cherubs alumni! She loves to spend time with family and friends, watching her boys participate in Cross Country, Track, Theatre and Robotics events. She enjoys traveling with her family around the US and abroad.
