The members of Raymore Christian Church share our people, our facilities, and our dollars to serve those in need in our community and in our world.  You are invited to use and support these various ministries with your time, talents and gifts.

In addition to our many worship and fellowship opportunities, we provide:

Our church building is used to provide meeting space for groups such as:

  • Girl Scouts

We offer many ways to serve both church and community that include:

  • Fourth Sunday Food Pantry

  • Partnership Sale (school supplies and clothing for low-income families)

  • Church school teachers, Cherub Church leaders and youth sponsors

  • Vacation Bible School volunteers

  • Hands-on outreach projects (Manger Tree Project, Thanksgiving Baskets, Habitat for Humanity, etc.)

  • Mission work trips

Our church reaches out into the world through our gifts to Disciples Mission Fund.  Together with other Disciples churches around the world, we pool our money to support ministries both at home and abroad.  These gifts support our overseas missionaries through the Department of Overseas Ministries.  The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) supports missions in Latin America, Asia, Africa, Europe and Australia.  Our Greater Kansas City region sponsors mission partners in Haiti and Venezuela.

Disciples Mission Fund gifts also support our ministries in North America, including programs for local churches such as congregational growth and stewardship, resources for men’s and women’s fellowship groups and assistance with children and youth ministries.  We also support higher education at Disciples-related colleges, universities and seminaries.

Our congregation is one of 80 churches in the Greater Kansas City Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Part of our Disciples Mission Fund dollars support our regional ministries including inner-city mission projects like the DREAM Center and the Together Center.  We also support local church programs including ministerial relocation, crisis intervention and pastoral care for clergy.

The Greater Kansas City region also operates Tall Oaks Camp and Conference Center in Linwood, Kansas.  Summer camps for children and youth (K-12), 20-something (young adults), and Grandparents Camp are offered along with year-round retreats.
